Rebecca Biggers is an Asheville native that adores her beautiful city.  As a little girl, it was clear Rebecca already had a knack for hair and a love for products. Rebecca attended UNCA as well as culinary school in her early 20’s before acknowledging her true passion for the beauty industry. In the late 90’s she decided bring her dream to life and become a hairstylist. She trained extensively under Rusk designers, attended Rusk & Arojo academies and is a Wella Color specialist. After diving into hair design, she realized when you love your job… you never actually work. She opened the doors to her thriving business Lola Salon in August 2001. She adores all aspects of hair and has a particular knack for weddings and the art of listening to her client’s needs. In her spare time she loves teaching classes on aromatherapy and health. Rebecca has the unique ability to help your hair enhance your natural beauty and will take the time to teach you how to recreate the look at home.

Liz comes to Lola Salon from Charleston South Carolina, where she worked for 4 years at an upscale
salon in downtown, honing her craft doing fashion shows and working behind the chair. She moved to
Asheville in 2012 and has been building on her low country foundation ever since. Her dedicated
awareness of listening to her client’s desires and interpreting them in a creative way are what makes her
successful. Liz has a passion for updo’s and special event styling, which she’s been practicing since her
start as an apprentice. She loves creating multi-dimensional color using classic and trendy techniques,
and always keeps longevity in mind for the client. Other specialties include men’s haircuts and fades,
women’s long and short haircuts and haircuts for the kiddo’s! Education includes Davines, Oribe, Rusk, Aveda, and Wella.

She and her comedian Husband decided to relocate to this beautiful city to raise their daughter and to be close to family.  Jennifer specializes in Balayage and Color Correction and her cutting techniques range from classic to edgy.  Jennifer prides herself in her ability to listen to her clients and understand what it is they really want.  She loves to be creative in her style as well as her ideas and always strives to make you look and feel your best.

Karen was born and raised in Florida. She received her license in esthetics in 2001. Make up and skin care have been a life long passion. After an inspiring trip to Italy, Karen packed up her pickup and moved to Asheville. The people and the mountains drew her in and she is a true local now. Karen is an accomplished painter, which translates beautifully into her work as a make-up artist. Being the daughter of a model, Karen grew up in the fashion and beauty industry. As early as she can remember she was painting the faces of dolls or anyone that she could get her hands on. Karen began working at Lola in 2002 and continues to beautify Lola clients on a regular basis. Karen has a remarkable knack for shaping and contouring eyebrow shape. Her make up case is filled with all of the highest quality products ranging from Mac to Nars and the many high end brands in between. Karen has the uncanny ability to make you look as though you aren’t wearing any make-up, just that you look flawless! She can bring out cheekbones, make eyes pop, make lips luscious and skin tone dreamy. She also can bring the drama with a smokey eye, a sultry lip and dramatic false lashes. In her down time you can find Karen running marathons, skydiving, painting, tending bar and spending time with her boyfriend.

Maggie hales from Saint Louis, Missouri and was born into the beauty business. Her father owned a beauty manufacturing representative company & mom owned 3 full service salons, which Maggie managed.  She graduated from Colorado State University with a BA in Sociology which helped prepare her for the amazingly eclectic scene in Downtown Asheville.
Maggie moved to Asheville in 2004 for a job opportunity with Banner Therapy Products and to call this growing mountain town her home. She sourced and started their spa sales department and created an outside sales force. This is where she grew to love her family legacy and passion for all beauty therapies. Maggie loves alternative and traditional modes of beauty and healing which makes her the perfect manager and wedding coordinator for our eclectic, thriving salon.
Maggie is happily married and has 2 fiery boys, Grayson and Miles. She juggles 14 employees, brides from around the world and being a soccermom/soccerwife with the greatest of ease.
If you want to know what makes Maggie flash her contagious smile. She loves her work and it shows. In her moments of downtime she paints furniture, enjoys a fine glass of wine, watch lots of soccer and hangs out with her 2 golden retrievers.

Tracy Anders is an Asheville native who possesses a sweet Southern disposition and sophisticated sense of style that has kept her clients coming back to see her for seventeen years. Her favorite aspect of hairstyling is the rewarding relationships she has built with her clients and peers.
She got her start studying fashion design before making the switch to hair design and gets inspiration from all types of fabrics, jewelry, and accessories as well as the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She loves working with natural texture, but also thrives on juxtaposing forms, shapes, and tones in innovative ways that create soft, subtle, and individualized hair styles.
As a certified Wella Master Colorist who has trained with Schwartzkopf and Bumble&Bumble, educating her clients on proper hair care and suitable easy to wear styles is her top priority.
When Tracy is not doing hair she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and reading.

Destonie has worked as a stylist downtown Asheville since 2001. She has her masters in color from the Wella Institute NY, as well as several certificates in cutting from Bumble & Bumble NY. She is bohemian chic with a rock and roll edge and loves translating that look for her clients. Her vast clientele includes everything from bold, dimensional blondes to rich glossy brunettes. In addition to being a color specialist and stylist she also is a licensed Balmain extensions specialist with a focus on I-tip extensions and is certified with Perfectress Transformation Extensions. Destonie is a creative, energetic and confident stylist that has loved working in the creative environment of Lola Salon & Gallery since 2008.

Jesslyn is an Asheville transplant who comes from a military family background.  She moved from her last station in Japan to San Antonio where she attended the Aveda Institute.  After she received her Aveda Certification, she followed her family to Asheville. When she is not busy performing magic on hair, she enjoys spending time with her two pups and her fat cat.  She loves to read and is an expert on  Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.  She enjoys all of Asheville’s fine foods, beer, and chocolate.  She finds humor in everything and draws inspiration from the beauty and color of the city.   Asheville has allowed her passion for color to flourish.  She has a love for fun colors, highlighting, and a makeup and airbrushing enthusiast. She is also skilled and very experienced with the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment. We love Jesslyn’s fun and friendly attitude!

Amy Day graduated from the Aveda Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2005, although she performed her first haircut in 1991 (to herself, in her kindergarten classroom). She has always had a passion for self-expression and loves to help others find their own voices. Specializing in short haircuts for men and women, Amy Day sees hair cutting as sculptural and works to create the perfect cut for your individual hair texture, growth patterns, head shape, and face shape. These details translate into all haircuts, but are especially important for short ones. Amy Day also specializes in transitioning hair from colored to natural, especially silver belles and foxes. She loves to use hand painting color techniques (balayage) to achieve natural and seamlessly blended dimensional color. Amy Day also loves to create elaborate, avante garde hairstyles, wigs, and costumes for fashion shows, photo shoots, concerts, festivals, and other special occasions. With a divine thirst for knowledge, she is devoted to continuous learning in her career and beyond. When she isn’t working, she’s reading, writing, and otherwise creating– making the world a more beautiful place outside and in.

Sara Kate Eubanks (often called SK)  is an Asheville native who’s personality and style mirror the eclectic heartbeat of the city she has grown to love so much.  She studied painting, drawing and photography at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.  After college, Sara Kate furthered her artistic studies and became a certified decorative and restoration painter through the City and Guilds of London Institute.  While in the program, she worked on various projects, including a guilding project at the Biltmore Estate.   SK expanded her creative skills and knowledge by becoming a makeup artist for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.  As an already devoted customer to the line, it was a natural progression for her.   SK resonates deeply with Bobbi’s philosophy to empower women to feel and look their best, most confident self.   Pulling out a woman’s radiant features and enhancing what she loves about herself rather than covering up with she doesn’t is Sara Kate’s forte as an artist. As a certified Bobbi Brown makeup artist with 6 years of experience, her top priority is to make you look and feel your best while also collaborating with you for your perfect look.   It all starts with quality skincare and beautiful foundation that looks like perfect, flawless skin, not makeup.  From there, she can create the perfect look for you, from natural and classic to vibrant and glowing to sultry and sexy . 

In her free time, SK is passionate about nutrition and living a healthy and vibrant life.  She also has a knack for style, furniture, fashion and thrifting.  Feminine inspired mid-century modern is her favorite look and era.  She also has a deep love and compassion for animals.

Jitra grew up in England, Maryland, and Georgia but calls Asheville home after living here for 14 years.  She graduated from Valdosta State University with an Associates of Arts and Minor in Business and AB Tech with an Associates of Culinary Arts.  She owned and operated her own bakery and personal chefs in her spare time.

She loves spending time with her husband and 1 year old daughter by hiking or cooking together. She is accustomed to the hustle and bustle of small business and is a whiz at organizing and keeping up with our booming salon!   Jitra’s calm demeanor and beautiful smile sets the pace for our front desk and behind the scenes operation.
